Brian Shepherd, President and CEO

Brian Shepherd is President and CEO of CSG. Before becoming CEO, Shepherd was Executive Vice President and Group President of CSG, where he led the profit and loss organization for the entire global organization. He also served as Executive Vice President and President of Global Broadband, Cable and Satellite Business from 2016 to 2017, where he focused on accelerating the growth and strategic direction of CSG’s global broadband, cable and direct broadcast satellite business. Shepherd is a global business expert with strong management, customer relationship, global sales, strategy and corporate growth experience. In previous executive roles at companies such as TeleTech, Amdocs, DST Innovis and McKinsey & Company, Shepherd built a successful history of helping companies drive and achieve their strategic growth initiatives. With 20 years of experience in the cable and communications industries, he has built wide and deep relationships with C-suite leaders, decision-makers and policy influencers who have shaped these industries globally. Shepherd graduated magna cum laude from Wabash College with a B.A. in Economics. He also received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Rollie Johns, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Rollie Johns ​is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CSG, where he oversees finance, accounting, treasury, and investor relations for the organization. Johns joined CSG in 2013 as Chief Accounting Officer and was named to his current position in May 2018. Johns brings more than 25 years of global finance and accounting expertise to the position. Prior to joining CSG, he was an audit partner at KPMG, serving in many leadership and management roles, including lead audit engagement partner on several large public company engagements in various industries across the globe. Johns is a member of the AICPA and the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of San Diego.

Ken Kennedy, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and President Revenue Management and Digital Monetization

Ken Kennedy is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CSG, and President Revenue Management and Digital Monetization, responsible for driving revenue and creating scalable monetization solutions that help CSG deepen customer relationships. Prior to becoming COO, Kennedy served as President of Technology and Product, where he oversaw all product management, engineering, platform architecture and operations across CSG’s solutions portfolio. Kennedy also served as CSG’s Executive Vice President of Product Development from 2016 to 2017, and as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Product Management, Development and Operations from 2006 to 2016. Prior to CSG, Kennedy was one of the original founders of Telution, where he served as Vice President of Software Development and Professional Services from 1998 to 2006. Before Telution, Kennedy worked at Accenture (f.k.a. Andersen Consulting), where he was responsible for developing highly scalable distributed software solutions for the financial services and communications industries. Kennedy holds a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of Notre Dame.

Liz Bauer, Chief Marketing & Customer Officer

Liz Bauer is Chief Marketing & Customer Officer of CSG, where she directs all marketing, analyst relations, corporate communications, public relations, sales enablement and voice of the customer programs. She has over 20 years of experience with CSG and was instrumental in the early growth of the company. Bauer has served as a strategic advisor to the company’s leadership team during key points in CSG’s evolution, including repositioning following an ownership change, executive leadership transitions, multiple integrations following acquisitions and various new product launches. She brings more than three decades of combined business management, investor relations and integrated communications experience, including managing a Midwest-based advertising agency. Bauer holds a B.S.B.A. in Business and Journalism from Creighton University. Bauer served on the board of the National Investor Relations Institute, the founding board of West Denver Preparatory Charter School and previously chaired the Rocky Mountain WICT Gala. She is a current member of the World 50 CXO 50 community.

Alfred Binford, Head of Customer Communications Management

Alfred Binford is Head of CSG Customer Communications Management, globally overseeing the product, sales, services and engineering teams, as well as the CSG Experiences Practice. Prior to this role, Binford served as Senior Vice President of Americas Wireless and Telecom at CSG, where he was responsible for leading and growing business in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. Binford has over 25 years of experience in telecommunications and information technology and services. Binford has previously held senior executive roles across sales, marketing and consulting at companies such as Vodafone, Unisys, EDS, Verizon and Amdocs. He began his career working at AT&T. Binford holds a B.S. in Business Management from the State University of New York College at Old Westbury. He also received an M.B.A. in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

Greg Cannon, Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary

Greg Cannon is Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary of CSG, leading the company’s legal, compliance, insurance and quality management programs. Cannon joined CSG in 2007 and previously served as Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer until accepting his current position in 2016. Cannon has more than 25 years of experience in leading high–performance legal, government affairs and compliance teams. He has a proven track record of handling complex legal issues, working with a variety of customers and suppliers, resolving challenging disputes and managing corporate risk with a high level of integrity. Prior to joining CSG, Cannon worked for a number of large telecommunications and cable companies including MediaOne, AT&T Broadband and Adelphia. Cannon received a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, as well as a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

Chad Dunavant, Chief Product & Strategy Officer

Chad Dunavant is Chief Strategy & Product Officer of CSG, where he is responsible for developing, communicating, executing and sustaining corporate strategic initiatives. Prior to this role, Dunavant was CSG’s Senior Vice President and Global Head of Product Management, where he developed the strategy and direction for CSG’s products and services, ensuring that the company’s solutions met the current and future needs of a dynamic, global client base. Dunavant has over 20 years of experience developing products for the communications services industry. He is a frequent author and speaker on best practices for driving profits in the digital era. Dunavant holds a B.B.S. in Finance and Management Information Systems from Gonzaga University. He also received an M.B.A. in International Business from the University of Denver.

Channing Jones, Chief Diversity & Social Responsibility Officer

Channing Jones is Chief Diversity and Social Responsibility Officer of CSG, working across the company to promote and build effective strategies for equity, diversity and inclusion. She is responsible for environmental, societal and governance (ESG) initiatives, recommending investments, activities and programs focused on sustainable, socially aware business practices that incorporate diverse people and perspectives, voices and ideas, while also aligning with CSG’s culture, mission and values.  Prior to CSG, Jones directed DEI strategy, operations and outcomes as Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. She also worked as Diversity Lead and Strategic Planner for the U.S. Department of State and the Diversity Recruitment and Assessment Manager for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Jones holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.S. in Public Policy and Management from Heinz College at Carnegie-Mellon University.

Jeff Thorness, President, Payments

Jeff Thorness is President of CSG Payments, where he oversees go-to-market strategy and new opportunities in the global payments market. Thorness has over 20 years of business development, sales and programming experience in the payments space, founding Forte Payment Systems in October 1998. Over the following two decades, Thorness organically grew the business, which was recognized by the Inc. 5000 as one of America’s Fastest Growing Companies for eight consecutive years. Under Thorness’ leadership, Forte became the strategic payments engine for tens of thousands of merchants and organizations. Thorness joined CSG when the company acquired Forte in October 2018.
