Digital Monetization Provider Wins Leadership Award for Its
Wholesale Business Management Solution
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
CSG (NASDAQ: CSGS), the trusted partner in simplifying the complexity of business
transformation in the digital age, today announced that Frost &
Sullivan has again awarded it the firm’s 2018 Global Stratecast CSP
Monetization Interconnect & Settlement Market Leadership Award.
Frost
& Sullivan’s Stratecast leadership award recognizes achievement
in communications service provider (CSP) monetization based on
leadership in six global monetization segments: billing mediation;
rating and charging; other core billing functions; policy management;
interconnect & settlement; and partner management. Stratecast
interviewed more than 110 monetization suppliers that address one or
more of the above-mentioned segments as part of the evaluation process
for this market award.
For the second year in a row, CSG’s Wholesale
Business Management Solution (WBMS) was recognized for its
leadership position in the interconnect and settlements market. CSG’s
WBMS is the world’s most widely-used and widely-proven partner
management software by number of customers, volume and revenue.
“The monetization needs of today’s complex services require an
end-to-end, increasingly real-time business support process that
involves interaction with various network technologies, computing
capabilities, external partners, and suppliers,” said Brian Cotton,
partner, SVP, information & communications technologies, Frost &
Sullivan. “As CSP industry players continue to face new challenges in
wholesale revenue management, fraud management, and partner management,
they need partners that can solve these complex challenges.”
“CSG has been among the leading suppliers of monetization solutions for
the global CSP market for many years and is again being recognized for
offering a full suite of innovative monetization solutions; CSG’s
interconnect and settlement solutions are the focus of this award.”
CSG’s WBMS has a large and diverse customer base. It is currently used
across 450 networks in 150 countries, processing over six billion
records daily. The solution suite centrally manages wholesale rates and
bilateral agreements, optimizes traffic trading and routing, collects
and processes events in near real-time, calculates bills, generates
invoices, reconciles with partners, and monitors business performance.
Ultimately, WBMS enables operators to improve the accuracy and
efficiency of their wholesale business processes while lowering the cost
of ownership.
“Wholesale telecom is an extremely competitive and fast-paced market,”
said Ken Kennedy, executive vice president and president of technology
and product at CSG. “With the players and partners often in flux,
success is linked to an organization’s ability to move quickly in
responding to new business opportunities. We are honored to once again
be recognized by Frost & Sullivan for our WBMS suite. CSG’s interconnect
and settlement solution supports CSPs as they face increasing market
competition by offering a comprehensive solution set, enabling service
providers to monetize the digital services traffic crossing
telecommunications networks each day, ultimately driving long-term
profitability.”
CSG received its Market Leadership Award during an award gala held in
San Antonio, Texas on December 3, 2018.
